Okay, not even kidding. I seriously think this year's Austin City Limits Festival might possibly have the best lineup I have ever seen:

Everyone from Dylan to Wilco to Pete Yorn to Arcade Fire to Amy frikin Winehouse (who, by the way, I'm in love with, b/c she reminds me of a singing, British version of Ryan Nolan).

I'm looking into buying tickets and flying down to the Lonestar state for the weekend (it's in mid-September). Any takers (Brielle, I'm shaking my fist at you mighty hard right now...)

Think about it: a long weekend complimented by warm weather, beer and good music all in the same state that both George W. and the best scene from any Pee-Wee movie (re: the Alamo scene, obvs.) reign from. I'm just saying...

So, what are our cumulative thoughts on Hilton going to the slammer? I for one am a little sad to know that my summer beach tabloids will not be painted with Paris’ crotch shots by way of neon Heatherette mini dresses, nor will the airwaves be singing with any new singles nearly as delicious as “Stars are Blind” (which I secretly LOVED).

If only that dream were true this time yesterday. I discovered the most amazing shopping area in all of asia. You would have loved the gaudy taiwanese fashions and I would have loved your up to the minute style advice. Everything there is so cheap. I scoffed at a shirt that was 600 NT (about $12 US) because it was so outrageously priced. My friend and I spent 3 hours there and didn't even come close to seeing all of the stores. Plus it is called wufenpu, pronounced woo-fun-poo.

Firebush

PLEASE tell me that at least someone reading this watched Conan last night. Let's just say the old firebush headed off to wine country for a bit, and there were many, many, many comcial scenes (so comical that I literally had to text B at 1 am on a weeknight to inquire if she too was laughing out loud.)
I highly reccommend seeing if it is available on youtube or something.

Also, Care-I had a dream about you last night that I called you in Taiwain, and at first you were mad and were like "seriously, ang, do you know how much this phone call is going to cost me?" Then, somehow I got magically transplanted into Taiwain with you,and we both were wearing these awesome, neon colored 80's clothes and those 'Risky Business' sunglasses (http://www.lussori.com/kirsten-dunst-brings-ray-ban-wayfarers-back.html) that are really, really unflattering, but are really popular right now, that I really like to make fun of, but am really secretly saving up for a pair of my own.
