Pumped and Raging!

Hey Guys,
I am so excited about all of these plans and whatnots. I just moved out of my apartment. Literally I am on a post raging on my matress high (Brielle, you were my muse). Anyway, although I am no longer living in the city... Essex is a blast and a half and Tina just set up a new guest rooom so if you guys want/need a place to stay look no further.

The upside of my jobless situatiuon is that I can hang out anytime! I am guessing that money will be tight among all of us so thank god beautiful new england foliage is free!

Brielle, I just found the awesome part of your birthday present when I was cleaning so get ready for that.

Ok I left the mini van on the loading dock so I better go before it gets towed with all of my stuff in it. Love you guys!!

dates

How bout the 14-17. Ang, i can prob take a train to jersey after work, but that would be going in the opposite direction then where we would actually be heading...or i can take the fung wa or amtrack up there and just meet you guys. I have a weekend long party this weekend and my rents are going away next weekend, so i would like to party/get really fucking high at my house. Let me know if those dates are good for everyone so i can put in for a day off at work.

I read Kev your comment and he is glad u like his spandex

Sibling Issues

Dude, I CANNOT believe that you gave your car over to your sister....unbelivable, truly....congrats on your bro though. thats exciting...i bet rosemary cried, and kevin danced in his spandex.

regardless, i am frightened of the fung wa, and would much rather trek somewhere via personal vehicle (sorry car pool lane)...i am free every weekend for a while (including this weekend if anyone is interested), except for the weekend of the 7th (ryan nolan's bf has an art showing at a gallery in brooklyn if anyone wants to come,.) and the last weekend of the month (my uncles getting remarried..AWKWARD)

hit me up and lets see when everyone is free...i seriously could use some serious sweatpants/tv watching/celbrity gawking/dollar draft good times with you ladies...

also, boston ladies...the decembrists are playing in boston this fall...does anyone want to be my date/hang out with me that weekend if i come up?????

A Few More Things

Oh yeah....so my brother got engaged last night on the beach in hawaii. He is such a damn overacheiver, always doing everything 10times better than everyone else. The wedding is prob gonna be next sept. in Minnesota (Kali is an only child and all her fam is there). Also, Chauncy, i hope you aren't suffering from the widom teeth extraction too bad. Enjoy your percosets, i sure as hell would.

Maybe I Do Want to Be a French Fry

I haven't seen the dommies commercials, but i have seen the new burger king ones w/ the chicken surrounded by all the french fries and two other chickens comeu up to him and are like "look at this chicken, he wants to be a french fry" and the chicken w/ the fries replies "maybe i do want to be a french fry" and so it goes back and forth. Beam must be upset that they replaced his beloved king w/ the creepy plastic head w/ a couple of chickens and french fries. Anyway, u guys give me a date and i will be there. I have to give a least a weeks notice for work. I was thinking a long weekend. I could take a Friday off and Ang and I could leave Thursday night to head up and i would come back on SUnday. I can't take off any longer than that b/c i just got back from a week vacation (Jersey and Maryland...and i actually do look tan-for me that is). So you guys get together and tell me the date. Ang-would u be down for taking the Fung Wa. In some crack induced high, i agreed to let my sister take my car back down to school w/ her, so i am without a car/sharing w/ my rents. I know...seriously...what has gotten into me. PICK A DATE!

In response to Chauncey's last post, yes, I too have seen the blessed Domi's commercials. Did you see the CREEPY one with the fake, fuzzy, brownie man???Ew. I can't yet tell if I am intrigued or disgusted by this new edition to the Domi's menu.

About Burlington. Well, I am, how shall I put this? A moron. I saved NO money all summer, got ALL the way up to Burlington, and then realized, 'Hey, I have no money, no job, no food (damn your high, heady prices city market) and only a room to share with Matt Beam in his collegy house. ' Um, kind of rushed into that one a bit. But, you know how I do. So, I went on a few interviews, nothing came up fast enough (I'm not kidding. I literally went with next to no money, so time was of the essence...dumbass) and I came crawling back home to work for a while, save some legit funds, and then move out the right way (re: money for a half livable apt., not a replica of Isham Street) But Burlington was/is still really, really fun. Shockingly, there are still a good amount of people up there that we graduated with living.working/etc. Also there are a few new bars that are fun/trendy/lounge-like...weird.

Chadsey-I saw heady greg...still heady...no leggett/ruthie sightings

So, I'll be in Jersey for an undetermined period of time, working, schooling, etc. Harvey, lets do something.

In regards to getting together...
Firstly, it is ENTIRELY necessary.
Second, if everyone would like to go up to Burlington for a weekend, I would def be down for making that our meeting spot. If not, I was hoping to come up to Boston sometime in the earlier part of September (Harvey, perhaps would could go togheter), unless people wanted to come down this way.
Suse said that if we all go to Boston, she wants to come. PS, shes doing really well. Olivia humps stuff and laughs about it.

K, talk soon, love you all....a

Harvey to the Rescue

Agreed. We all need to get together soon and play catch up. If anyone is up for a trip to Burlington as a meeting spot, as of this weekend, I am resident there once more, so you would all, obviously, have a place to crash/mock matt beam.
I hope to see you all soon, miss you guys.

your mother

happy birthday Care. I got all senimtenal the other day watching one of those Capital One credit card commercials w/ the vikings in it. I thought of Chauncy's birthday when we sat in the dark in a circle on my floor, smoking a bowl and just talked about how much we loved B. I remeber either you or her were wearing that Viking hat and i had on those Linda Richomond sunglasses....good times. We all need to get together sometime.

Ruthie

So, for the past 10 days, I have been staying on a college campus, ala dorm style, for my first grad school residency. Might I say that grad school is perhaps the sweetest deal ever. Teachers respect you and take you out frequently to pubs where all attendees get drunk and rattle on about various dead poets, etc and the work is entirely tailored to what you want/care to study. It is wonderful!!!!!!

It should also be noted that, this week, I have had the pleasure of staying in the Fairleigh Dickinson Dorms by means of unnecessary requirment, where I have relearned the pleasures of Shower Shoes, cold floors, loft beds, and uncomfortably crafted desk chairs.

But perhaps the most rewarding has been having the rare opportunity to eat in the campus dining hall each afternoon for lunch. I have been thrust back to a lifestyle of eating 12 unsatisfying courses all in one sitting. From plates of yellowing iceberg lettuce, to untrustworthy bowls of Mac and Cheese, to bowls of cereal, followed by Fro-Yo, and Turkey slices that would be an embarassment to any guest.

But, naturally, it has made me think of all of you. Each night, myself, along with award winning novelists in their mid-forties, teachers who perhaps are too smart for their own good, a man in a trench coat (regardless of the 90 degree temps) and one token Hot Poet, I have had the chance to reliive the days of the undergrad, stumbling drunkenly through hallways, falling down in the night on campus greens, and laughing in stairwells about the perils of Joyce vs. Woolf's writing techniques.

Its been, in a word, Bonus.
